Measuring, alignment, centering etc – links

Looking at all of the thing that have to be measured, and all the devices that need aligning a certain pattern becomes clear. There is, firstly, a set of well known and commonly used tools. There is then a set of methods that these tools are used in to achieve certain results. There is then a long list of problems that have to be solved that can be solved with one or more of these methods.

Definitions

Aligning

Aligning is the process whereby the angle between to lines or planing is set to some particular value.

Centering

Centering is the process whereby two lines are set to be in line or so that they are intersecting.
